MTN Device warranty ripoff

I got a ZFlip on the 7th of November and it had a fault on the fold mid December, I went to Ferndale outlet and they asked me to bring it in 1st week of January. I went with it and the consultant said it was to be booked in for warrant services since it didn't even work for 2month and had no damages. They later called to inform me that I had to pay for repairs for a device that has worked for less than 2 months. The contract states that a phone has a warranty of 6month what kind of services are these providers offering. This is unacceptable
