MTN device claim not resolved for 2 months
It been a bad and exhausting 2 months delay for my device claim.
On the 2nd of November 2021 I sibmitted a device insurance claim for my Hauwei P30 lite device that needed to be repaired. Reason for repairs request was because my sim tray had broken into half and I wanted the old broken one to be replaced nothing more.
MTN claims approved my claim on the 5th of November 2021 and request an access fee of R299.95 which I EFT'd same day.
Days later MTN claims confirmed that the funds has cleared into their account. Furthermore on the 12th of November 2021 they confirmed that the courier company will collect the device on the 16th of November 2021 which was on a Monday which they did collect.
My device was collected with 2 sim cards inside whoch I couldn't remove due to sim tray issue. Which I did explain to MTN before the device was arranged to be collected and also shown to the courier guy on the day of collection.
2 weeks later they brought back my device in the worst state than it was collected. It was brought back unrepaired, there was no sim cards which led me to do a sim swap that costed me R150 extra.
Today is the 11th of January 2022 my device is not fixed. I have been calling MTN on weekly basis but nothing has changed. Today I tried to switch on this device because i haven't since they brought it back,i found it flat. I put on charger and i got the shocking results. My device is no longer charging I really do not know what MTN repairs department did with it.
I am basically sitting with the device that is useless for the past full 2 months and I have no idea what to do anymore.
