MTN depletion of data and disappearing airtime.
<p>I am on a too up contract with MTN, on a monthly basis they load a R155 worth of airtime and 100mb data. Since Jan 2017 to date this airtime has been going missing before I even get to use it which resulted in me buying my own. I went to MTN on the 22of March 2017 (ref: ********** ) they couldn't help me, so they logged a request. Upon following up I was told another request had to be logged because they still couldn't give me answers about my missing airtime (ref: smc ********** 0265). When I followed up on the second request I was told that a third request had to be logged ( ********** 18), I followed up today on this request and was told that I'm depleting the R115 and 100mb of data within hours of receiving it and yet I was able to buy a 100mb of data the same day which lasted me at least 2 days. I feel like MTN has up to so far taken advantage of me as consumer because I pay every month for services that I do not get to enjoy and I plan on taking this further as it has been happening for the past 3 months.</p>
That is the feedback that I got from the call centre and what led to me writing this review in the first place. This contract is roughly 13 months old, I have not changed the settings on my phone or my browsing behavior, what has change during the past 3 months? Another thing that I find to be unacceptable is the fact that with the current settings I can go a day or 2 with a 100mb of data which I buy for R15. So help me understand this because what I can gather from your response is that the R115 airtime + 100 mb of data that you load for me is nothing compared to the R15 (100mb of data), please clarify that for me because this would mean that you are exploiting me as a consumer because I pay you a lot of money that I could be using on prepaid to get better services than I'm currently using because I'll be happy to cancel this contract.
