MTN: deliberate *****s

I had a data contract with MTN that was R299 per month. Since 1 October 2021 the amount drastically increased to R539. Later in October, my router with the SIM card in it, got ******. Upon inquiry regarding the increase in the amount, I was informed that my original contract ended and that I was subsequently placed on a month-to-month contract. I than requested proof as to how and when I was notified about this change that would've taken place. Until today I still can't find an email or SMS and I didn't receive a letter either regarding this notification and MTN can't provide the proof of an email, SMS, letter or a telephone call regarding this notification. When I phoned the Customer Care Service Center to stop the month-to-month contract, the clerk went through security questions to verify that it was indeed me. At the question: "What is your favourite colour?", I couldn't supply the 'correct' answer as it appeared on their system. The clerk told me that she'll transfer my call to the department that'll rectify my information. During transferal, the call dropped. I tried phoning again, but hung up after several calls that went on for more than 20 each. Then I emailed MTN. Several different clerks answered my emails, but none of them solved the problem. On 2 February 2022 an amount of R1078 was debited from my bank account. When is MTN going to get the message and stop this?!?!
