Mtn delaying to clear my name

<p>I had written 2 reviews on MTN not wanting to clear my name that was handed over because of a ***** account that I was told was opened in 2012 on the number ********** 400 all along I have been paying for this account without my knowledge.. Till last year as I was told by one of the MTN consultants when I called enquiring about this account. . I have never recieved any MTN sim on that number, or phone on that number so I havent been getting any invoices , warnings that 'my account' which I was unaware of is in arrears or that I'm being handed over for. . I had to realize earlier this year when I wanted to open another contract with you guys as I need a new phone I was told my name was handed over and that I couldnt open another account and earlier February I wanted to buy a new car and my car application was denied all because of this.. This is very inconveniencing!!!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>On my first review I was told to send a sworn affidavit abd a certified copy of my ID but I was not told where or who to send them to until I wrote a second review and I was told to send it to ********** of which I did but I did not get any resoonse at all after sending these documents .. </p> <p>I then called Mtn and the consultant I was talking to told she will send my message through to the ***** department and the mtn legal team and they would get back to me in 7-10 working days of which I waited and no one got back to me.. </p> <p>I then send emails to the legal department explaining my story to them with a certified copy of my ID and the sworn affidavit I was told to send to them and this is how it went </p> <p> </p> <p>me: </p> <p>'''I was at MTN earlier January trying to open a contract and I was told i couldnt since I had an account that was in arrears , I asked briefly about the account and I realized I am not aware of it.. Lasting as long as 4 full years?? Isn't a contract 24 month? i I really do not know anything about this contract, the first contract I opened with u guys was in 2014 n it has been paid up n cancelled.. Now that I want to open a new contract I am told that I cant since you guys took me to the legal department of which i know nothing about, I did not get any invoices , warnings or anything I was totally unaware of this till I needed to sign up for a new phone and open accounts which I am now told I csnt. My name is till handed over, I still can't open another contract, or buy a new car all because of this! </p> <p>This is very very frustrating I do not undertand why I had to do sooo many things all by myself because all MTN store I've been to they are all saying that there is nothing they can do I should call MTN instead.. When I call Mtn some consultants give me the legal department's numbers of which they are never answered and my last consultant told me that the legal department does not take any calls.. I need a new phone and I have to get a new car but now i'm under bad credit for something I do not know and Im not responsible for..
