MTN - de*****ing pensioners

My dad - a pensioner with only SASSA as an income has a MTN data contract for I don't know how many years paying a set amount of R197.00 per month. From November 2023-May 2024 they we out of the Country - with no access to their MTN data package. During this period somebody managed to create a *****ulent account on his MTN account running up a bill of R13 746.13. A *****ulent SAP case was opened and MTN ***** department were alerted. He has been told to only continue paying the amount on his agreed contract with MTN. Today he received the hand-over notice from the Attorneys "We act on behalf of MTN who have instructed us to recover the Outstanding Balance which is owed to them. Due to your non-payment, your account has been handed over to Strauss Daly Attorneys for collection and administration." NO FEEDBACK OR ANY COMMUNICATION FROM MTN on this matter - Just a handover on an amount that they are fully aware is *****ulent! Just unacceptable in my books.
