MTN deducts money instead of Data when u have data
On Wed, 25Mar, I was browsing social media and replying to emails on my phone, when all of a sudden my phone didn't want to access anything. I found it strange as I had checked earlier during the day my account balance - which was over R200 and I had about 450Mb of data in my bundle. I decided to dial *141# to check my balances to find out my airtime was down to R0.01 and I still had my 450Mb of data. I hadn't made any phone calls that day. So, I loaded airtime and then opened Facebook for a minute or so, and then checked my balances - and as i suspected, prime data charges were deducted off my AIRTIME and not off my data bundle (which remained at 450Mb) - i then loaded more data, so I had more than 1 GB, to find the same was still happening. I tried to call customer care, but the automated menu is - simply put - useless, and doesn't put you through to an operator.

The following day, it seemed to be deducting data again...but tonight (Saturday, 28 March), it's started all over again deducting my airtime --- and I have not made any calls today either. Tested it (like before) to find the same issue occurring! Am fed-up with MTN - can't get through to their call center or anything!
