MTN Debt Collectors:VVM
<p> </p> <p>I received a call from a debt collection company claiming that my account with MTN is in arrears of R17709.56.</p> <p>Firstly, I don't have a contract and to the best of my knowledge I have never had an account with MTN. <br />Secondly, could MTN please clarify the details of this assertion as I have no knowledge of such an account.</p> <p>As far as I am concerned these debt collectors are purporting to represent MTN and such an issue has caused much distress and concern.</p>

Thank you for your responce. However MTN expects me to produce an affidavit denying the obvious when they do not hold a signe dcontract from me? The onus is firstly on MTN to produce a signed contract and prove use of their contract line. in the meantime MTN should keep off or i will take action to obtain the appropriate relief, which may include an interdict and an actio injuriarum.
As i have no indication of how this came about i cannot continue to provide my personal details and be more exposed to liabilities which are not of my own doing. I would appreciate proof from MTN's legal department of this debt before anyt affidavit can be produced, failure which I will be left with no choice but to escalate the matter as best as i can.
