Appalling online offers and **************** by MTN.

I received a call from MTN offering me a data SIM card with 10gb all day & 10gb night. I took them up on their offer and the SIM card was delivered to my home. Upon delivery they took my ID copy and proof of residence for RICA purposes.

Although I had possession of the SIM card, the SIM card was not active so I couldn’t make use of the service. I went back and forth with MTN on the phone to get this issue sorted. I even went as far as going to the MTN store in my area only to be told they do not deal with online offerings.

I eventually decided to cancel my service due to non-delivery only to be told that the cooling-off period had passed the day before and I as such I would be charged for not only for the service but the cancellation as well.

I don’t understand how anybody can be asked to pay for a service that they did not receive especially when there is a record of non-reception. To this day the SIM card remains inactive and I am fed up!
