MTN Day Light *******

I don't know why they even bother by advertising if they don't give you what you see.

I had airtime and made a call at around 15h00 on the 20 June 2017 and I got a discount of 99% (or so I thought). The call lasted +-45 minutes and then I was informed that my airtime is finished including the Wow bonus of R55 airtime.

I called in at MTN immediately and was informed that their system hasn’t yet updated, so I can’t be helped and should call after 1.5hr.

I called back after 5hrs or so and I was helped by a gentleman named Alfred, he then said that the system still hasn’t updated much and that it normally takes 24hrs for it to update. He then said that if my airtime was gone he would make a note on the system that when I call in the morning it would indicate that am due for a refund. He claimed that the system shows that my airtime might be chowed by my applications and I indicated to him that I have +- 900 MG and that explanation I would not take it.

I then called the following day on the 21 June 2017 at 11:26 am and spoke to a lady by the name of Nthabiseng and she wasn’t able to help me out. She claimed that by the time I made my call my discount on her ‘‘system’’ indicates that I was given a 15% discount and not the 99% as am claiming. I asked her how is it possible that we would have different discounts for the same number on the system and asked her that does it mean every time one makes a call we should take a screenshot of our discount??????

I then ask her how it is my problem that their system is malfunctioning and I have to pay for it. I told her that I want my airtime back and she went and consultant with her supervisor and came back to me saying that I had used that airtime so they won’t refund me.

I then told her that I was under the impression that I was getting a 99% discount does it mean that every time their system malfunctions the customer would have to pay for their system incompetency and she told me that her supervisor Thobole Simelane would call me in 5 minutes and explain to me.

But that’s the thing, I don’t want their explanation. I want my airtime. Does it mean that MTN rob us every time when we make calls thinking that we are getting a certain discount e.g 85% only to be getting a 60% or less discount on their system while they are CHOWING OUR MONEY.

Its 15h30 and I’m still waiting for Thobole Simelane the supervisor to call me.
