MTN data sim contract

I bought a Data sim contrct online for R99pm. A consultant called me a talked me into one for R129pm I accepted and asked her to port my existing number to the new data simcard. She told me that as soon as I receive the new simcard, go to an MTN store and they will sort it out.The next day I went to an MTN store and lo and behold my nightmare began. A day later spending R50 on airtime and hours of talking to different departments no one could assist. I then cancelled the contract and now receive an account. I have written a few times about the account with no response. This is what I call the hight of inefficiency.
