MTN data contract never expiring

I have been trying to cancel my black friday data deal for 2 months now to no avail, as the contract term has expired. I have signed a new 1T data contract with MTN, so don’t need the old data contract, but hell I expect better service from MTN! Why does it take do much effort to cancel a contract that has reached its contract expiry period?
