MTN damage goods sucks!!!!
Good Day,

I got an upgrade on the 19 January 2015 and today my phone does not want to switch on, I went to Promenade Store and even spoken to the Manager Thandi about the Sony T3 phone cell phone and all she could tell me is my phone needs to go in for repairs, you don't except to buy something and then after 2 weeks it does not want to work or switch on, how pathetic is that, that MTN sells damage goods to customers and they don't care if it inconveniences the customer has long as the phone payments get paid the rest is history. I then ask Thandi to give me MTN area manager number she gives me *** which is call centre number. I have 2 contracts with MTN and this incident was not the 1st incident one . Last year my other number was also due for a upgrade and the exact same thing happen after 2 weeks the phone gave problems, if this is going to happen all the time I will have to make other alternatives regarding MTN and the people you talk to is not very helpful they make as if you are the problem so sad how customers get treated. I am a very unhappy customer.
Thank you for your post.
We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced.
We completely understand the frustration it causes.
Kindly note that If you discover any fault or defect in the Mobile Device within first 6 months of receiving it, you may return the Mobile Device to MTN SP for a warranty assessment or repair. However, the mobile devise needs to be in the same condition and packaging as it was delivered to you, along with the proof of purchase
(the invoice and proof of delivery waybill documents).
You may request for a loan which you may be given, if there is one available. However, not all our stores do have loan phones.
We would like to assure you that we are actively working to improve our service levels.
Kind Regards
