MTN cut pay as go number and cannot activate ot

Formal Complaint Draft (Updated)Subject: URGENT: Formal Complaint - Incorrect Account Migration, Deactivation of 25-Year-Old Number [Insert 081 Number], and Failure to RespondTo the MTN Complaints Department,I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the gross mismanagement of my account and the deactivation of my primary number, which I have held for 25 years.Lack of Response to Previous Correspondence:Please note that I have already emailed this department regarding this matter. Despite MTN’s own service charter promising a response within 48 hours, I have received no reply or acknowledgement. This lack of communication has significantly worsened my frustration and extended the period I have been without my essential contact number. Background and Issue:Failed Migration: I requested my primary number [Insert 081 Number] be moved to a new contract. Instead, a new number (073-***-***X) was opened without my consent.Wrongful Deactivation: Because I was misled into believing my 081 number was on a contract, I did not perform manual recharges. MTN has since deactivated the number for "inactivity."Service Failure: I have paid for a contract for months without receiving any airtime or data, as I was never provided the SIM card for the 073 number MTN opened.Poor Branch Support: I was treated arrogantly at the Hemmingway branch and forced to pay R150 for a SIM I did not request. Both the Hemmingway and Retail Park branches failed to assist, repeatedly referring me back to 135, which in turn refers me back to the branches.Required Resolution:This 081 number is vital for my bank authorization codes and personal security. I require:Immediate reactivation of my 081 number.Migration of my paid contract to this 081 number.A full refund or credit for the months I paid for services I could not access.A refund of the R150 paid for the unsolicited 073 SIM card.If this matter is not acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within 14 days, I will escalate this case to ICASA (***) and the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) (***) as per the Official MTN Complaints Procedure.Sincerely,
