MTN customer services is nonsense!
It’s been four months now since I’ve cancelled my contract with MTN however, today I woke up to an sms that includes a tax invoice.
In March this year, I app**** online for a portable router deal from one of their contracted service providers “Mondo” that was inclusive of 100g data so that I can be able to do my academic research. However, on the 17th I received an LTE which is not compatible with where I stay. I immediately called the service provider and was instructed to return it to the nearest MTN store, which I did on the 18th and cancelled the contract immediately with hope that when I get confirmation of the cancellation, I will reapply in store but, I guess that was my last deal with them.
Come the 25th, an amount ranging from R400 to R543 goes off my account on a monthly basis. I would call the MTN and let them tell me the status of my contract and that I’ll dispute the debit, which I did.
So last month, I couldn’t despite it and I sent them an email on the 28th of June since I was tired of calling and be taken from pillar to post. On June 29, a lady by the name of Ntsako Hlongwane responded to my mail wanting more details and even gave me a reference number, but that was the last time I heard from MTN and I know they would want to debit again this Friday.
May this be able to help me get that damn contract inactive and have the leeches stop debiting my hard earned money!
I am done with MTN and would never advise anyone close to me to use their services because of my experience as a first time client!
