My mother have a contract with MTN and everything was working well till Friday night, The SIM card was blocked its says "PUK BLOCKED" but you could not find a way to put the PUK number. My mother never had a PIN number but the SIM was blocked. Called the MTN call centre and they said I must remove the SIM card from the phone for 15 minutes, did that still not working, went to one of the MTN shops they said we must do a SIM swip for R150 because the SIM card is blocked by MTN.

Why was it blocke? no answer

Why do I have to pay R150 for MTN's fault?

Kindly be advised that when a PUK number is blocked you need to do a sim swap. Please note that the PUK number is a sim service and any changes to a pin or PUK can only be initiated on the sim card.

Best regards,
Thanks for your reply, but still I don't get it how can a sim card that didn't have a pin ask for a PUK number.
And I'm failing to see this as my fault.
