MTN contract upgrade "pending"

Hi. The service from MTN is pathetic. I have had my contracts with MTN for years now, and not once have i experienced issues when upgrading my contracts. I went to istore in Gateway to upgrade my contract. I finished with the paperwork, and the agent tried submitting the paperwork, only to tell me there's an "open application in my name". So how is this possible when i haven't asked for any upgrades??? Anyway thankfully he was help full and called MTN call center. We gave the prospect ID that was showing pending, and the call center agent said there's nothing open for me. So we refreshed the page after the call center agent asked us to do so, and by some miracle it disappeared. Strange, and he said he did nothing. Anyway, we pass this stage, everything goes through, now the final part of the contract, it shows pending, due to ***** check, as the istore agent explained it to me, due to that open application. I then cancelled the application because i was coming back to gauteng. I then go to istore woodlands to get the same contract, and what do you know, same problem. Open application! Earlier that day, an MTN agent phoned me to let me know i'm eligible for an upgrade. So i put 2 and 2 together and figured out the application was left open by this same agent. How do these call center agents work? If i did not request anyone to do an upgrade, why was there an open application??? I haven't had this experience before.

However my main issue is, how long does it take for the contract to be approved? The contract is still showing pending after 3 days. In the past, upgrading my contracts used to be approved the same time.

Can someone look into this?
