MTN Contract Sales Suck

I'm sharing my frustration with this service provider. I've now tried on two different occasions to apply for a cell phone contract & on both occasions the sales agents gave me similar information in terms of my identification documents, the first one told me that a copy of my ID will be sufficient for the delivery of the phone & the second one told me a temp ID will be sufficient for the delivery of the phone. This is not the case in both instances not the agents turn around & tell me I can't get my phone without an original ID card or green book ID. The first time around I was told 3-10 working days for delivery & then waited for more than 6 weeks for the delivery only to find out they are out of stock because I contacted them, the second time was within 3 days but still they can deliver my phone because of negligence or better said incompetence from their side which I now Bair the brunt of their incompetence this is really unacceptable MTN. As a loyal customer for more than 28yrs this is not the kind of service I expected at all, can someone assist in getting this resolved as none of the agents including a manager could not get this sorted for me.
