MTN CONTRACT ENDED IN MAY 2020 BUT NOT ABLE TO CANCEL THE CONTRACT OR EVEN GET THROUGH TO RETENTIONS DEPARTMENT

I am so frustrated with MTN. My contract ended in May 2020. It is now Septemeber 2021 but I am still paying. I have been for the past 17 months trying to cancel my contract with you guys to no avail. I got to your mtn store (Greenstone Branch managed by Tendai) and they tell me they cant assist me with cancelling. I have tried on countless times over these 17 months to call the customer care to cancel only to be transferred to the detentions department at which point o get put on hold for hours on end (the longest was 2 hours) and then the phone just cuts before I even get to speak to a "service provider". If I knew that cancelling my contract with you guys was going to be this hard I wouldn't have even bothered. As it stands I am paying for a contract which ended in May 2020. I have no contractual obligation with you guys but I feel you are now holding me at randsom by not allowing me to cancel a contract that I LONG OVER due its contract end date! I have even spoken to Baldwin Bokwe (supervisor from contact department) and he said he would try assist me. Till this very day I am awaiting for his call. I have tried to email the retention department to NO LUCK. I AM ABSOLUTELY FED UP! YOU ARE PURELY BEHAVING LIKE ********! EVERY MONTH YOU DEBIT MY ACCOUNT BUT I AM UNABLE TO EVEN REACH A CONSULTANT TO CANCEL MY DAMN CONTRACT. I EVEN CONPLAINED ON TWITTER AND YOU SAID A REPRESENTSTIVE WOULD BE IN CONTACT WITH ME BUT THAT WAS NOT THE CASE. THIS IS DAY LIGHT ******* AND DEFINITELY AGAINST THE LAW! CAN AN MTN OFFICIAL CONTACT ME ASAP TO CANCEL MY CONTRACT BEFORE I GET MY LAWYERS INVOVLVED THIS IS ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL! TIMES ARE TOUGH FINACIALLY ALREADY THEN MTN IS JUST GOING TO ADD TO THAT STRESS. YOU HAVE ZERO CARE OR REGARD FOR PEOPLES LIVELIHOODS AND DEFINITELY ZERO CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
