MTN Contract

I paid out my MTN contract which expires this August 2020 in full last year September 2019 but now i am apparently in arrears without the 24 months haven't elapsed & me having paid for the remaining months of the contract in full & there's no communication from MTN except when i try to upgrade i am told of this false deficit instore.
