MTN contract cancellation

I'm concerned about a contract I canceled due to the service not working and the router was handed in 17 December 2024. I took the contract on 06 December 2024 and it turned out that it was not working and I did seek assistance by was never helped. So I went to MTN Greenstone and I was never assisted due to that the contract was not signed with them but online. So I was referred to call MTN for assistance and i will not get any assistance from them.

Looking at that the router wasn't working, I returned it to the store and requested for cancelation by stating my reason for cancelation. So since they did want to help me at my nearest MTN store reason being the contract was not signed instore with them, they just took the router and told me that I will have to pay the R5732. 45 for something I didn't use because it was not working? The amount has been increasing money and now it went to R6955.04 and i don't understand why. Please assist me in solving this matter since I've been seeking for assistance as my credit score has been negatively affected.

It seems like the contract was not canceled from their system as i am billed monthly yet had opted for cancellation. Trust me MTN greenstone does not want me at their store. they told me that they cant assist me so i should just call the customer service. When i call the customer service they refer me to the store. I've been sent back and forth and nothing is changing.
