MTN Contract Cancellation
Hi Guys,
My cellphone contract with MTN ended on the 4th of December. Since then I've been calling the Retention Department to cancel my contract. I sent a email communicating that I won't be upgrading my contract and I want to go back onto Prepaid. I got a reference number and was promised that they'll call me within 24hrs. Since then I have not heard from them and they still continue to debt my account. I reversed the debt order and now my phone is blocked. I went to the physical store, they keep telling me to dial 135 and follow the options. It's like I'm stuck with a dead phone. This has been the worse customer experience with MTN, I am highly disappointed!!

11 Jan 2021, 15:35Guys, don't get MTN contracts!! I can't believe this MotherF*cken Sh*t!! The Retention Department isn't answering calls, I've been calling for 2 weeks now. Everyday for more than 30 minutes I've been put on hold!! I hate MTN, I'll never get a contract there again!!!!!!!!!!!..

12 Jan 2021, 10:28I can't believe this. I just got a message from MTN today telling me my Credit score is going to get affected. But I can't cancel my contract with them because they Rentention Department isn't picking up!! Guys, Never go with MTN!!
