MTN Contract Cancellation

Mtn product contract ends on the 11th January 2026. I tried to cancel, was told to give a 20 day notice. According to MTN. They suppose to give me a 40 days advance written notice to check if I want to continue with the contract. I am currently unemployed and have fulfilled my contract.
