MTN contract application and the useless manner in which they deal with customers
I app**** for a contract on 30 May 2018, a lady named Naydene Emanuel a service agent for MTN contacted me to get my details to submit my application. I specified that we will be switching from Vodacom to MTN and that once everything is approved we can submit the PORT from Vodacom to MTN. Naydene agreed to this. On 6 June 2018 I received an SMS saying I was declined as I did not meet the criteria. I phoned 9 times to speak to Naydene to get clarity on the matter as to why I was declined. Each time the person promised me that Naydene would contact me back but it never happened. On 10 June 2018 I found out that Naydene submitted the PORT as a pre-paid to contract port and it failed as the number from Vodacom is on contract. The lady that helped me then said that Naydene should have submitted it as a contract to contract PORT in order for it to work. The application was then re-submitted on 11 June 2018. I then heard nothing 7 days with me trying to follow up with Naydene with no success or feedback from her. I then found out that I have to re-submit my documents as the vetting department could not read my payslip. Lo and behold I sent the exact same one I sent previously and it was fine this time around. During this process I received no feedback from Naydene and would have never knew that I have to re-submit everything if I did not phone and follow up. Naydene Emanuel is absolutely useless when it comes to customer service and feedback to customers regarding what the customer needs to do in the contract application process. On 19 June 2018 I was told that my application was approved for the contract that I wanted, however I am not approved and need to downgrade my contract application even though I was approved for the contract amount I app**** for. Again no feedback from Naydene as to why this is and she advised I speak to the credit vetting department and gave me the number ********** and said I must ask for the credit vetting department. No surprise when calling this number and being told to phone a bunch of other numbers with no success. Is MTN and Naydene Emanuel really that *********** to just speak to their customers and give feedback?
I asked numerous times if a more competent call center agent cannot take over my application just to be told that I have to deal with Naydene Emanuel as she submitted my application.
