Mtn contract

I paid my contract bill on the 7th of May 2025 via app since it bounced. Now I keep getting emails saying that you will stop my service if I do not pay, I am just confused because I even sent my proof of payment and someone said It should have a reference number, how because there was no option to add it when I was paying using your app
