MTN contract

I had a contract with Mtn which ended on March 2023, I've been battling with canceling, I went to the store to cancel it but was told that they only do upgrades and they cannot help me, I called the customer care but my call is always cut without getting to the consultant, if you think of taking a contract just know that there's no way out, I've been paying for the service I don't use because there's no cancelation service with Mtn
