MTN continues to debit NGO for cancelled data pac
We cancelled our contract with MTN for data in November 2014. To date, we are STILL being debited monthly despite sending numerous e-mail and numerous visits to their local (Grahamstown) office to cancel and confirm cancellation. We have been assured that the account has been cancelled and that the debit will not run, but month after month our account is debited.<br> <br> MTN has now ****** R1350 from us. We are an NGO and struggle with funds, plus our funds are given for the service of SA citizens and not for MTN's enrichment.<br> <br> I have, in writing, confirmation that the account has been cancelled the debit order stopped, yet month after month, we are debited.<br> <br> I am at my wits end and just do not know what to do anymore! <br>

We've perused the account and see that a cancellation request was submitted for cell-phone number *** that was processed on the 14th of November 2014.
The e-mail correspondence that was submitted only requested a cancellation for cell-phone number *** and not for the second number ending with 2696, hence it was not cancelled. Our Cancellations Department can and will only cancel any number when it has been requested or included in a cancellation request.
We can now confirm that the contract for the second number ending with 2696 has been cancelled on the 25th of August 2015.
