MTN consultant lie on recorded lines to make sales disgusting

I’m writing this review as a highly disappointed MTN customer I have been with the provider for over 10 years. On the 11/06/2025 at exactly 17:28pm a consultant called me from this number *** to inform me of a new data deal tailor made for me. He proceeded to say that my old number will not be affected but I will have to receive a new SIM card with the same number because I’m using the outdated sim that doesn’t have 5G capabilities. I asked the member more than 5 times to insure that this new upgrade dose not affect my current number and the new data package to be just added to the current number he assured me that is correct only to find out today that I’ve been given a completely new number and when I call MTN support to assist they say they can not assist me since this deal was done via the phone and not at there stores now they are making it my problem to cancel this deal as it is not was agreed on during the recorded telephone conversation. MTN consultants are so eager to make sales they lie on recorded line’s inconveniencing us as customers at the end of the day.
