MTN complaint - third time still no resolution

This is the third time I am complaining about MTN, and probably not the last. This problem has been going on for a year now, and although I feel like I have nearly sorted it out, still it persists because MTN are not professional enough to follow it through and make sure their clients are totally satified. In a nutshell, the problem is that for over a year now I have been charged content services (amounting to over R10 000) for which I never agreed to. I have just returned from the bank to dispute and get my last bill for R1684 cancelled and stopped. I did this last month too, and even cancelled the Direct Debit altogether, but the bank says that MTN simply changes the reference number so that I still get billed. I dont seem to be able to cancel this at all, and I have not even had an active line on the number for nearly 2 months. In an attempt to stop all these content services, I cancelled the number, and then did a number swap and a SIM swap. That was nearly two months ago, but the line never came active. Customer Services cant help, the MTN store doesnt answer their phone, and no one at MTN seems to have any clue or be able to help, but instead they put me through from person to person, or provide me with numbers to call that either dont work or are the wrong person to call anyway. And it goes around and around in circles. Its extremely frustrating. Then the other day I put a complaint on Hello Peter (the second time) but this time someone helpful called and promised to help me sort it out. They asked for some info and then said that it would be sorted within 2 hours. They even called back to check, but the line wasnt active so they said they would call in the morning. They never did. Days have gone by and I am back to square one. Angry with MTN for their inefficiency, lack of customer care, and most of all, the totally blatant *****ulence with how they manage their company and charge their customers ********ly. Would somebody at MTN PLEASE PLEASE CALL ME to sort this problem out. The number in question is ********** . Neil Clayton
