MTN Complaint

Lets start at the beginning - my mother received a call from so called MTN and it turned out to be **** of which she immediately contacted MTN. After getting no positive assistance she went to MTN Scottburgh and reported the matter after obtaining a statement from the SAPS (no case could be opened as no ***** had actually been committed at that point). Since the account is actually on my fathers name they went into Scottburgh MTN again and a Indian lady assisted them with the Managers help and they were assured that a block had been put onto the account and after purchasing new sim cards at their cost they were advised it was sorted. On the 21st of August all my father's loyalty points were ****** (over 7000 points) and upon going into MTN Scottburgh again he was advised that they had been used to purchase data from that same **** number which had previously been reported to MTN. Another ***** case was lodged with reference number (available on request) and we were told we don't need a SAPS case for this and the loyalty points would be returned after the investigation. The gentleman at MTN also advised it was done via the App and so the App was removed from my dads phone and apparently the person was kicked off his profile as well (they could see "him" there when they logged onto my dads profile / account at MTN. They assured him that this time it was definitely sorted. On the 1st of September R6083.49 was bought in data on my dads profile / account. He immediately opened a case at the SAPS and went into Scottburgh MTN again who were of no help at all. He then took a drive to MTN at Pavilion who were more helpful and another report was lodged with Ref Nr (available on request) who advised us to get the debit reversed at the bank and only pay what is the normal contract amount of which he did and cancel any future debits. To date he has heard nothing further from MTN in this regard and I find it appalling service from a reputable company. Your staff at Scottburgh need serious customer service skills and clearly they don't know what they doing as this keeps happening. I dread to see the bill at the end of September. Come on MTN this **** is coming from inside your company and you cannot de***** your customers like this. What more is a customer supposed to do from their side? They incur themselves costs in banking fees, petrol and loss of points / monies. It is unacceptable that you do not even give your customers any feedback except messages demanding payment for accounts that you can clearly see are ********** as he has never in all the years exceeded his contract amount. I would not advise anyone I know to renew or obtain new contracts from MTN as you suck at customer service and managing complaints.
