MTN COMMITS ***** BY THEMSELVES AGAINST THEMSELVES

My Brother-in-law purchased a cellphone(Contract package )for me as a gift 2 months back. The contract is on his name. The only person that is allowed to make any amendments to the contract is the contract holder.

I had been considering getting the phone insured and decided to gather the necessary information 1st before getting the contract holder to sign up for insurance.

I went online and requested a quote, an option which is provided by the company, it is a feature on their website. I completed the form online in February and my brother-in-law was billed R165 in March.

They had signed him up for insurance and debited his account without his knowledge of it and just by my request for a quotation.

1stly, they had no right to sign the phone up for insurance when all i did was REQUEST a quote

2ndly,and this has got to be the worse part, they can not allow anyone to make amendments to someone elses contract,THAT IS *****! Even if i had requested cover, which i didnt, they CAN NOT ALLOW that.

This means anyone can access your account and sign up for things for themselves & MTN will approve it

I now have cover that I didnt agree to and I'm not even sure what im covered for
