Mtn cheating customers on loyalty airtime

I recently converted my loyalty points to airtime. I thought I could use it to buy data or minutes but that value just comes off my normal mtn credit. the loyalty airtime (rand value) still stays the same. Mtn responded to another user in 2016 that this rand value is only for mtn to mtn calls. If so then why is it that my mtn to mtn calls just come my anytime minutes. Why give this option if customers can't use it the way they see fit. I.e. buy data, sms or airtime. The selection menu and the standard terms and conditions don't mention anything about mtn to mtn minutes. Loyalty points menu gives you options for airtime, data and sms only

Stop misleading your customers. I have been a loyal customer with mtn for 20 years and with a current monthly spend of about R1200 on 2 mtn contract numbers. This month I converted loyalty points for R133 airtime which I cant do anything with. It expires in August (3months) Seriously thinking about changing myservice provider when my contracts expire (after 20 years) I have paid more than R100000 to mtn over that time. what about your other loyal customers who fork out even more than me. Come on mtn play fair

Dear Najan,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us why our service failed to meet your expectations.

We value your business, and would like to address your concerns as quickly as possible.

I understand your frustration, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience we have caused you.

Kindly note we have loaded R133.00 airtime on your number as goodwill gesture for the lapse in service by which you have the means to convert to SMS & Data bundles.

Thanks Mtn Even though I didn't get a reply by the weekend I still went into the Mtn store and upgraded my 2 mtn contracts for another 24 months. All because I never had any major issues with dropped calls etc. 99.99% of the time I am able to connect. Even when I went to china for a month I was able to call my wife from the Hong Kong Airport on my Mtn prepaid card. That was for both arrival in China and departure to South Africa The connectiobn was clear. That's why I've been with Mtn for 20 years and maybe the next 20 years as well. Thanks again Mtn.
