MTN cell phone upgrade without my permission

MTN allowed some ********* to upgrade my cell phone contract, adding an additional R400 for a new phone to my monthly bill!
Said the shop assistant at the Mall@Reds branch: 'Head Office will reverse the transaction once you provide an affidavid.' So I now have to prove I did not authorise the transaction, despite the fact that I did not sign a new contract. My next upgrade is due only in November, so how on earth was this even possible?
Thanks a lot MTN. Time to find a new service provider, I think.
