MTN cant prove i have a contract yet charge me

Been trying for 9 months to obtain proof of a contract and still nothing. I have a long string of correspondence yet not one piece of evidence to prove a contract.

All i want to do is upgrade but im being told i have to pay a cancellation fee?

Im starting to get the feeling this is typical corporate bully tactics as the clients keep paying.
