MTN cannot deal with reported *****ulent activity.

I have had *****lent activity on my MTN account. Three other cell numbers have been linked to my one and only account. I went initially (April 2024) into the MTN store at the Zone in Rosebank to report the matter. I produced the required affidavit and certified ID, but nothing was done and NO written response was received. I was advised to report the matter to the ***** Department at the MTN head office in Roodepoort. I took in another affidavit and certified ID plus a writtne atement of all the events that had occurred to date. At the head office I was assured that no monies would be debited from my account. However, 5 days later, at month end, a huge sum was drebited from my bank account. I contacted the MTN ***** department by telephone, and told the monies would be re-deposited into my account, which did not happoen. It was my bank that finally was able to reverse the debit order. This month, June, I received anotyher *****ulaent account for several thousands of Rands. I called the ***** Department again, was was re-assured that the funds would not be debited at the end of this month. However, I have lost all faith and trust in MTN and their incompetence. If I want to cancel my contract I have to pay a penalty. I have been told by 2 individuals within MTN that this is an inside *****. But they appear to have taken no steps to track the *****sters down. Nor do they keep me informed in writing of the status of my issue and whether the matter has been resolved. I have all the names, dates and references of the various agents I have spoken to or seen in person. I have received no written apology nor a revised invoice for the months of May and June. MTN South Africa is an ***********, inefficient company and stands accused itself of de*****ing its long-standing clients. I have now switched to a monthly cash payment and am deciding whether to pay the penalty for cancelling my contract so that I never have to deal with this company again.
