MTN CANDY POP ***** THEFT SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE UNWANTED

Hi for the past week i have been receiving a text message for a WASP service i did not ask for.

The service is for Candypop videos charged @ R3.03 per day . after a small amount of research i discovered on hello peter that this is happening to a few other people.

now unfortunately there is no way of knowing that if you enter the code *464*970# that is supp**** on the sms for candy pop will in fact stop this ********** money *****ing service or make me a victim of a some other **** .

how ever if anyone else is having this same issue , i have found that if you dial *141*5# (mtn only) it will give you a menu to manage subscription services where you can set the daily allowance to R0.00 per day to avoid the service *******ly charging you for a service you did not ask for.

this will not stop the service unfortunately but will stop it from *****ing your money .

mtn if this is a service from you please note I will be getting legal advice because I am sure this against the rules of the CPA.

Hi , Thank you for your response Ishie , I understand that I can do this: "Please note that there are different content charges. One way of removing them is by dialing *136# and follow the MTN play option until you get to manage subscriptions. The second way to remove the said charge is by logging on to your browser from your device. I have attached the below instructions in order to remove the charge:" however dont you think that having a WASP service forced on you without your consent is ******* , thankfully i had the brains to stop it , but what about the people that dont have immediate access to the internet or that did not bother to read the sms because we get so bombed with spam all the time . how many poor people dont know that this theft is whats causing them to lose R93.93 per month on something they did not ask for ? I accept your apologies but also want to know that our rights and accounts with Mtn are safe from such ******* transactions.

One way of removing them is by dialing *136# and follow the MTN play option until you get to manage subscriptions.
