MTN cancellation traps look out for this.

Worst wireless internet service provider. Last year 2023 we were having unstable internet from a local service provider so we searched the internet for a more stable internet provider we found a ad from Mtn for a package with 20mb/s wireless and after the fup it would be 5 mb/s , two months ago it happened that the speed was cut to 1mb/s after inquiry customer service said that because of technical difficulties the internet was affected we should wait 48 hours and see if it is fixed, after that we got told no it is because we exceeded the fup. Then it was deactivated the following day when we called customer care they said that there was a payment issue according to my bank statement the payment was deducted per debit order and later it was paid back into my account. Then i was told in order for them to cancel the contract i have to take the router to a mtn shop for some code. So i took the router to the shop and got told that now i need to find the box and manuals etc. Before they can give me a code to cancel this. Or i have to pay a 5000 rand cancellation fee, so first why should i pay a monthly fee for internet i cant use because you deactivated the sim because your billing department made a error with the payment. In my mind you terminated the contract so i am not liable for any cancellation fee if i cant get this solved quickly i will refer this to icasa. You changed the package speeds without me agreeing to it being changed so it is not the original package i app**** for in the beginning. So i would not recommend Mtn service to anyone that is looking for a service provider as they can not deliver on the contracts that they advertise.
