MTN cancellation still not resolved

This is my second review for the same incident, I have still not been contacted by MTN and in the meantime the debit order has gone off. I have phone numerous times within the cancellation period to cancel the contract, and was told that the 3rd party company needs to contact me and that there is no way for me to contact them.

How this has still not resolved is beyond me, and is utterly despicable service.

See previous review :

"I was contacted by MTN direct for a promotional contract offer. I negotiated with the salesperson for a TopUp contract, R110 airtime per month and 500mb of data per month. I received the phone, and two simcards. Before activating my sim, I asked the consultant if I can port my Vodacom number to this contract, they said that I should activate the sim, then go in to a MTN store, and speak to a consultant to port my number.

I activated my sim and went to a MTN store, and was told that I can't port a number after the contract was activated. I then proceeded to RICA my new number, and RICA was offline twice, at two different stores. After completing RICA, I noticed that I didn't have a data bundle on this number, and after one day of use, there was only R78 airtime left.

I phoned customer support, and they told me that I had gotten two different contracts, two sims with two different numbers, and that one had the airtime on, and one had the data on. Which is absolutely ridiculous, and I never agreed on two contracts. After being put through to different departments, I still haven't reached anyone who could help me with my situation. The service is terrible, and no one can assist me. I am currently still on hold trying to sort this out.

This is my first time switching to MTN, and I would recommend not using MTN a mobile service provider"
