MTN Cancellation hell 3 calls - 1 hour and 10 minutes and counting
My contract ends this month, I phoned in to find out how to turn it into a pay as you go, ended up speaking to a lady after nearly 20 minutes holding on, she suggested I cancel immediately so that it takes effect EoM. She put me through, held on another 10 - 15 minutes.
Called again, went through the menu options, had to hold on another 15 minutes, finally got through to a guy who wanted to "retain" me by offering me other cheaper contracts. I SEVERAL times said no, I explained WHY I need to cancel - eventually he gave in and asked me to hold on, I got a recording saying I'm on hold for what I assume is the actual cancellation dept. only to have my call go from a recording to a dead line - to being dropped.
Called back now, waiting again, they are (always) having high call numbers... keep you on recording for 15 - 20 minutes. Will hold on until I speak to someone again. But MTN, your service, especially your ****py ways of trying to retain a person by tiring them out with your passing from pillar to post is reprehensible.
