MTN cancelation of contract

I have been trying to cancel my MTN contract for over 2 weeks now. I already paid the early termination fee more than a week ago and every time I call MTN to confirm the cancellation, they tell me that it takes 24 to 48 hours to cancel the contract but it has been more than a week and they have failed to cancel my contract.
