MTN call to cancel contracts always closed and no one will help

I have been trying to close my MTN contract plan for the last 6 months and MTN has made it impossible to do so. I have emailed them and called over the past months, all i get is that call centre is closed or had the phone dropped in my ear. I find it very unfair that because of you call centre issues i now have to continue to pay for something while i am not even in the country. No is helping me .
