MTN Business shocking lack of service

One of my MTN business lines is due for upgrade. I emailed MTN business requesting a list of current promotions to choose a new device and package for the line. On Oct 12, I did receive a list of promotions.

My first choice was for an LG G6 which was on the list for R179pm. It was verified that the details were correct and the device was in stock.

I filled in all the forms and submitted the required documentation. The contact person, Edmund then contactacted me to inform me that there was an error on the list and that the device was not available on that package for that price.

I then chose another device, the Huawei G8. Once again verified that there was stock, went through the process of submitting whatever documentation was required. I was informed by Edmund that delivery would be taking place around the 25th of October.

I contacted him on the 27th because delivery had not taken place. He was to follow-up on the order. After sending an email, I tried to call on the office line and cell phone. No answer. I tried the MTN business number. No-one could help with a status or ANY feedback on what was happening.

Eventually I got an email from Edmund that the device was out of stock.

I have the following questions from this interaction with MTN: - is it regular to send promotions to clients with incorrect information? - if a device is out of stock, should the sales person still process the order, collect info and documentation, etc? - if a device is out of stock, should a salesperson promise delivery? - if a salesperson is not available to respond to a query, should there not be another person that can provide feedback and info? - if an order has been processed,then it's discovered that there is no stock, should there not be some process in place to remedy that situation?

I have been an MTN Business client for many years, but I am utterly disgusted at the level of 'service' that I have received. I'll most probably move this line to another service provider
