MTN Business / iStore – Nearly 4 Months of No Resolution While Our Business Lines Remain Blocked

**MTN Business / iStore – Nearly 4 Months of No Resolution While Our Business Lines Remain Blocked**

We are extremely disappointed and frustrated with the way MTN Business and iStore have handled our contract upgrade and billing dispute.

This issue started on **30 April 2026** and, as of today, it is still ongoing with **no resolution in sight**.

MTN Business contacted us and advised that we could upgrade our contracts. We proceeded with upgrades at iStore for two business numbers and signed new 36-month contracts based on the monthly amounts that were presented and agreed to.

After receiving our bill, we discovered additional early-upgrade/device charges that had **never been explained to us before we signed the new contracts**.

Had we been told that we would continue paying costs relating to the previous devices together with the new contracts, we would have waited until the original contracts reached their normal upgrade dates.

Instead of resolving the issue, we have been sent backwards and forwards between MTN Business and iStore.

The iStore consultant investigated the matter and confirmed to us in writing that she was **not aware of these billing changes at the time the upgrades were processed** and that the relevant information had not been explained to us before the contracts were signed.

MTN has also confirmed to us that this information should have been communicated at the point of sale.

So both sides are effectively acknowledging that the information was not communicated to us, yet **we, the customer, are being left to carry the financial consequences.**

We have continued paying the amounts that were agreed with us. We are not refusing to pay our legitimate agreed charges. We are disputing additional charges that were not disclosed to us before we entered into the new contracts.

The situation has now become even more serious because **MTN has blocked our business lines because of the disputed amount**.

These are business numbers that we rely on every day. We are losing business because customers cannot reach us, and we are struggling to operate normally.

We have repeatedly asked for management intervention.

On **27 July 2026**, we again contacted both MTN and iStore. iStore requested additional information from us, which we provided. Despite providing everything requested, we have still received no resolution.

We have now been dealing with this matter for almost **four months**.

During this entire period, we have had to spend countless hours contacting MTN, contacting iStore, explaining the same situation repeatedly, providing documentation and asking for someone to take responsibility.

Meanwhile, **everyone appears to be passing the responsibility to someone else while we, the customer and business owner, are the ones suffering the consequences.**

We have now reached the point where we no longer want to continue with these contracts.

We are requesting:

* Cancellation of the disputed contracts without penalty; * Our numbers to be moved to prepaid so that we can retain them; * Restoration of our services immediately; and * The opportunity to move our business services to another provider.

We have documentation and written correspondence supporting our complaint, including correspondence from both MTN and iStore.

This is not about refusing to pay a bill. It is about being charged for costs that were not disclosed when we signed new contracts, and then being left without our business lines while MTN and iStore continue passing the responsibility between each other.

**This started on 30 April 2026. It is now almost four months later, our lines are still blocked, our business is losing money, and we still have no resolution.**

We are posting this because the normal customer-service channels have failed us.

We are asking someone in **senior management at MTN and iStore** to finally take ownership of this matter and provide a proper resolution.

**MTN Business Account:** A*** **Numbers affected:** *** / ***

We would still prefer to resolve this amicably, but after almost four months of trying, we need someone to actually take responsibility and resolve the matter.
