Mtn Bullying on the Gamer+ & CallerTunes ****.
So, after more than 10 years as loyal MTN Contract customer, an Mtn Service champion convinced me to take an additional contract on a Router in November 2020. Since I was working from home, the proposed costs for data connectivity made sense, and so I took the leap. With my usual caution, I opted for a top-up contract, as it caps my costs. All was good until the end of January 2021, where I started receiving Text messages informing me of a Caller Tunes subscription. I immediately called Mtn and let them know that this was an unauthorised subscription, that it was very unprofessional on a line that I use primarily for business, and i wanted it off my account. In February 2020, Mtn responded by adding another unauthorised subscription, this time for Gamer+ adding over R40 to my bill. Again, I called Mtn and explained that both my Contracts were primarily for used for Business/work, and that these unauthorised subscriptions are thus frustrating. At the End of March 2021, more MTnGamer+ content was billed again to my Router Contract. To add salt to injury, Mtn has now sent me a message that I will no longer be able to make calls on my voice contract, unless I pay for unauthorised subscriptions that were forcibly put onto my contract. This is the worst kind of betrayal and bullying from a Corporate Giant that I had thought of as an ethical entity. Clearly this Callertunes and Gamer+ **** is more important to Mtn than honest and sustainable patronage. I will thus be voting with my feet and looking for a new service provider.
Absolutely disgusted, Lee
