MTN broke my phone when I sent it in for a quote to fix the camera and dead pixel
I sent in the phone to have it inspected after it was returned from MTN broken; I concur that the phone was damaged under MTN's care and would really like this sorted. I'm so annoyed that I paid for insurance all these years, and how it was simply cancelled after THEY sent the phone back in this condition. MTN claims they didn't open the phone, but the screen was returned raised and the *****s were damaged. All I wanted was a quote to fix the back camera and a dead pixel, and now I'm left with a phone that's obsolete and a few months left to still pay for it!

22 Aug 2018, 09:10This does not help me one bit. MTN lost the initial form when the phone was first sent in for just the broken camera and pixel. The only form MTN can now conveniently produce is the one where it was sent in for the SECOND time to figure out why the phone suddenly didn't turn on.
I took it back to Cresta for the fourth time, I spoke to numerous managers and people that were all useless and kept reiterating that the phone was not opened. However, I have photos of the phone's screen that was returned lifted, as well as the *****s that incurred some damage... I absolutely HATE that MTN is not taking responsibility for this, simply cancelled my insurance, conveniently lost my initial check-in form that did NOT say anything about the phone not turning on.
I'm furious. I have to continue paying almost R700 for the next 3 months for a phone that broke while under the care of MTN or whoever their insurance company is. Obviously a useless one that just passes the buck and lies.
