MTN broke my phone now they want me to pay for it

I took my phone to MTN Morningside as it kept on freezing, it was in a perfect condition no physical damages. Two weeks later I went in to collect my phone and I was told it is still at MTN Repair Centre Midrand. I went there and to my surprise my phone was in pieces. Back cover cracked into two pieces, the screen has lifted (two pieces there again, screen and the rest of the phone). What's worse is nobody wants to take responsibility, Repair Centre says when the phone got to them it was in that condition, Morningside says no when they sent the phone to them it had no physical damages as the Technical Fault Report forms says they filled in when I handed in my phone. I don't have a phone, I am paying for it as it is on contract, nobody is speaking to me. MTN Morningside said they were looking at my situation and they'll come back to me and they haven't. Their (MTN Morningside) number *** in the forms and in the internet doesn't work. I have been quoted R 2 195.37 to do a repair.
