MTN Broadband lite too severely throttled
A few years back MTN provided a great contract called Broadband lite which was uncapped but throttled DOWN to 256Kb/s after a 3Gb cap was reached. A few days ago they
decided to bring the throttled speed down to 60Kb/s. That's like trying to surf the internet on a dial-up modem. Now those of us who chose to grandfather the contract years back were first shafted with a price INCREASE to R314/month and now are suffering MTN's clear breach of
contract. When calling the data centre, we're told that MTN is obliged to only provide speeds UP to 256Kb/s and lower speeds than that if the tower is overloaded. What a
load of *******. My neighbours MTN data sims connect and download at full capacity whilst mine is simultaneosly being throttled back to the dark ages. Has anyone at MTN
even tried surfing the internet at dialup speeds? What gives MTN. Surely you can't feel justified shafting loyal customers because you want us to buy higher priced capped options?
