MTN took over my cell phone contract from Nashua which was a myMTN100 contract for R369 with a R1 limit.

MTN started charging me different amounts every month, up to R881 !! I went to the nearest MTN shop who could not look at my detail account and could only open a log for me. I phoned with promises of being contacted. I opened 2 more logs, I tried to query this on MTN website, MTN complaints Facebook page but NO RESPONSE ever.

Then I went to the bank to stop the MTN debit order, hoped I would get response this way. I did, they blocked the phone immediately. This happened early December 2015. In Feb 2016 someone phoned me, I asked them to phone back the next day in order for me to get my log numbers and contract to discuss, they NEVER phoned back.

So, without any communication, they handed me over to SSDA who harrass me with mails claiming more and more : R3950, then R4041, then R4149, then R4204 but small sms claims of R177. I reply on each mail they send me, but they also never respond, except for more expensive claims each time.

In May 2016 I got hold of someone at *** who informed me that she escalated my query to the Legal department. Again no response from them. IF you try to phone ***, you talk to the machine telling you : yellow...welcome to MTN, the someone ask your ID, then music, then nothing!!!
I feel MTN breached their contract, when they blocked the phone, I went to Vodacom to get a contract and I have no problems, I pay my R288 per month for the same type of contract, nothing more.
