MTN booklet deal still unavailable even though advertised over 2 months

MTN Month to Month Home Fixed LTE deals have been in the Trader in August and September. I am renting a house with plans to purchase within the next 6 months and therefore cannot sign a 24 month contract. MTNs month-to-month 1TB deal was perfect for me.

Since I am an active customer, this should have been a breeze. I am on the 2nd month of trying to get this deal. My wife and I both need data to work from home. The deal is only available instore. I have been to 2 different stores who both advised there is no working code to activate the deal. Even after raising an internal ticket, the entire South Africa is unable to get this deal according to the store staff.

So why do they advertise the deal in their booklet when they know it is not available? False advertising?

I called the new contracts department this morning and a very nice lady confirmed that this issue should now be resolved, but she could not assist as my existing order was locked by the store. I contacted the store who advised there is no progress even when I told them a new code was issued the day before. They subsequently cancelled my application in order for me to contact the lady again...

My call did not last very long. The new representative said they could not help as they do not do these deals over the phone. I explained my situation and no effort was made to at least try and help.

So... MTN.... What is the actual story here? I need to sign-up for a month-to-month 1TB Fixed LTE MyMTN Home deal as advertised on 6-7 on the September 2021 booklet (Same place for August 2021 too).

Do I really need to revisit my decision to port to you 2 years ago purely because I feel you are not keeping your end of the deal? How on earth did you get away with this 'false' adverti*****t. If someone gave you 21 day's notice on the first of August 2021, the Ombudsman would have told you to retract the adverti*****t in the September 2021 booklet and only introduce it when it is viable?

Something does make sense to me.
