MTN Blocking numbers on Contract Phones
I use my cell phone to conduct all my businesses - often need to call SARS to sort out VAT and other TAX issues - I have a contract phone with MTN - suddenly this week Wednesday when I called SARS at their 0800 number - get a voice message telling me this number is blocked "on all companion pay as you go phones". - I have a contract phone - MTN is unable to assist me despite 2 escalations - it is month-end - I called SARS last week 3 times no issue as of Wed this week it is blocked? MTN is absolutely useless and has no respect for business that uses their cell phones to conduct business

26 Jul 2018, 11:17I was also told by the MTN helpline to dial the MTN Technical Department ********** to talk to the technical team - even this number is blocked :-)

27 Jul 2018, 10:07MTN is STILL Blocking all 0800 numbers even on contract phones - for a small business it means we will all have to get Vodacom contractor we will get in trouble with SARS as out I month end!!! MTN PLEASE get your ACT together - we need to be ablate call SARS at least!!!!! I have a contract that is expiring end October - I cannot afford another now with Vodacom simply as MTN randomly decided to block all 0800 calls.
